The Macquarie Dictionary site has one of the clearest guides to simple punctuation problems. If you're unsure of how to use an apostrophe, this is the place to go.


Database for Paid Writing

Writing For Dollars has a free database of magazine, book, e-book and greeting card publishers with links to their submission guidelines. You can search on variables including how much they pay, the type of market (eg travel, business, pets) and the type of submission (eg fillers, fiction, non-fiction). There's also an extensive library of "how to write" articles. You can subscribe for regular updates.
